Algunas palabras son irregulares: man–men, woman–women, child–children, foot–feet, person–people. Errores comunes: los plurales irregulares suelen formarse como los regulares: two childs ✗, two children ✓.

I have two brothers.

Tengo dos hermanos.

There are three buses.

Hay tres autobuses.

Six children are in the garden.

Seis niños están en el jardín.

Many people live here.

Mucha gente vive aquí.

there is / there are

There is + Nsg · There are + Npl

Have a book on the table ✗, There is a book on the table ✓.

There is a book on the table.

Hay un libro sobre la mesa.

There are two hotels near here.

Hay dos hoteles cerca de aquí.

Is there a bank near here?

¿Hay un banco cerca de aquí?

There isn't a bank here.

No hay ningún banco aquí.
