비교급과 최상급

Adj-er + than · the + Adj-est · more / the most + Adj

1음절 형용사에는 -er과 -est를 붙여요. -y로 끝나는 2음절 형용사는 y를 -ier / -iest로 바꿔요: happy → happier, easy → easier. 나머지 2음절 이상 형용사는 more와 the most를 써요. 불규칙: good–better–best, bad–worse–worst. 자주 틀리는 실수: 두 방법을 동시에 쓰면 안 돼요: more cheaper ✗, cheaper ✓. 그리고 비교급 뒤에는 with가 아니라 항상 than이 와요.

This bag is cheaper than that one.
