解説
比較級の前の no は、二つの間の差そのものを打ち消します。「〜より多くはない」とだけ言う not more とは意味が違います。no less than は数の大きさが目を引くことを強調します。none the worse for は、悪い影響をまったく受けていないという意味です。 よくある誤り: no better than は「同じくらいひどい」であって「より劣る」ではありません。「より優れてはいない」と言うなら not better than です。
