都表示转折，但搭配的结构不同。although 和 even though 后接完整从句。despite 和 in spite of 后接名词或 V-ing，不接从句。 常见陷阱：Despite it rained ✗ ——despite 后面不能接从句。应该说 Despite the rain ✓ 或 Despite the fact that it rained ✓。
例句
Although it rained, we walked.
虽然下雨，我们还是走路去了。
Despite the rain, we walked.
尽管下雨，我们还是走路去了。
In spite of being tired, she finished.
尽管很累，她还是完成了。
Even though he apologized, she was angry.
