破折号、括号和逗号：插入成分的写法

插入附加信息有三个层级。逗号最中性；括号把插入内容降为补充说明；成对的破折号则抬高插入内容，并造成强烈停顿。两端必须使用同一种标点，不能用破折号开头却用逗号结尾。 常见错误：两端不要混用两种标点：The report — all four hundred pages of it, arrived Friday ✗.
例句
The report — all four hundred pages of it — arrived on Friday.
这份报告，足足四百页，周五送到了。
The fee (currently thirty pounds) is reviewed yearly.
这笔费用（目前为三十英镑）每年复核一次。
Her first novel, published in 1998, is out of print.
她的第一部小说于1998年出版，现已绝版。
Two members — the chair and the treasurer — voted against.
