help 既可接 to V0，也可接不带 to 的原形，两种都对。cannot but、cannot help but 和 do nothing but 之后始终是不带 to 的原形。而 cannot help 单独使用时接 V-ing，所以这一组很容易混淆。 常见错误：cannot help 接 V-ing，cannot help but 接不带 to 的原形：I could not help but laughing ✗, could not help but laugh · could not help laughing ✓.
