Đứng ngay trước danh từ để chỉ của ai. Chọn theo NGƯỜI SỞ HỮU, không theo vật bị sở hữu. Bẫy thường gặp: his là của anh ấy, her là của cô ấy — chọn theo giới tính người sở hữu chứ không phải của vật: "xe của cô ấy" → his car ✗, her car ✓.
