Question 1

How does English RankUp's leaderboard work?

Accepted Answer

The weekly leaderboard lists the 50 learners with the highest XP this week. You earn XP by studying lessons, reviewing flashcards, taking quizzes or practice tests. The board resets at 00:00 UTC on Monday, so everyone gets a fresh chance to climb the top each week.

Question 2

What is the league system (Bronze to Diamond)?

Accepted Answer

Leagues split learners into tiers from Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum to Diamond. Each week you compete with others in your tier: the leaders get promoted to a higher league, while those at the bottom may drop to a lower tier.

Question 3

How can I earn XP and rank up faster?

Accepted Answer

Study a little every day rather than cramming in one session. Completing new lessons, reviewing due vocabulary, taking quizzes and practice tests all earn XP. Studying continuously to keep your streak also helps you accumulate XP steadily and stay near the top.

Question 4

When do the leaderboard and leagues reset?

Accepted Answer

Both the weekly leaderboard and the leagues reset at 00:00 UTC every Monday. Promotion/demotion results are calculated then, weekly XP resets to 0, and a new round of competition begins so you can keep competing.

Question 5

Do I need to log in to join the leaderboard?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You need to log in for your XP to be recorded and to be placed in a league. Once logged in, all your study activity automatically earns XP and enters you into the weekly promotion race.
