Explanation
Dùng cho thói quen, sự thật, lịch trình. Chủ ngữ là he, she, it hoặc một danh từ số ít thì động từ phải thêm -s. Sau -s, -sh, -ch, -x, -o thì thêm -es; phụ âm + y thì đổi thành -ies. Bẫy thường gặp: Đây là lỗi nặng nhất của người Việt. Tiếng Việt không chia động từ theo chủ ngữ nên -s ở ngôi thứ ba hoàn toàn xa lạ: She work ✗, She works ✓. Học thuộc như một phản xạ, không phải như một quy tắc.
