Explanation
could là quá khứ của can, dùng cho khả năng trong quá khứ. Ngoài ra could còn dùng để nhờ vả hay xin phép một cách lịch sự hơn can. Bẫy thường gặp: Nói về MỘT lần làm được trong quá khứ thì dùng was able to hoặc managed to, không dùng could: I could pass the exam ✗, I was able to pass the exam ✓.
