Explanation
Dấu phẩy một mình KHÔNG nối được hai mệnh đề độc lập. Muốn nối thì thêm liên từ (and, but, so, because), hoặc đổi thành dấu chấm phẩy, hoặc tách thành hai câu. Từ nối như however và therefore cũng không đủ, phải kèm dấu chấm hoặc chấm phẩy. Bẫy thường gặp: however không nối được bằng dấu phẩy: It rained, however we went ✗, It rained; however, we went ✓.
