Ngoài there is và there are, giọng văn bản còn dùng there với một nhóm động từ chỉ sự tồn tại và xuất hiện: remain, exist, arise, follow, appear, come, emerge. Động từ hợp ngôi với danh ngữ đứng sau, không hợp với there. Bẫy thường gặp: Hợp ngôi theo danh ngữ sau: There exists several versions ✗, There exist several versions ✓.
