Explanation
Dùng the khi người nghe biết chính xác bạn đang nói vật nào: đã nhắc tới trước đó, hoặc chỉ có một cái duy nhất, hoặc cả hai bên đều biết. Lần đầu nhắc tới thì dùng a/an, từ lần thứ hai trở đi dùng the. Bẫy thường gặp: Tiếng Việt không có mạo từ nên người Việt hay bỏ hẳn: Close door ✗, Close the door ✓.
