Diễn tả việc mình thuê hoặc nhờ người khác làm, không phải tự làm. Trật tự là have, rồi vật, rồi phân từ hai. get dùng thay have trong văn nói. Bẫy thường gặp: Trật tự ngược lại là đổi nghĩa: I had cut my hair nghĩa là tôi TỰ cắt tóc mình, khác hẳn I had my hair cut.
